He wanted to go back to kissing. He wanted to take off their clothes and touch and rebuild all the bridges Loki might have burned down. Instead, he just pressed another, far gentler kiss against Tony's mouth.

"Go talk to Alessa. We can figure this out." He let his hands drop to his sides, allowing Tony room to move away. "I'll check and see if we have any updates from everyone else." While Clint and Natasha probably wouldn't have much news quite yet, Steve just might.
