Banner wasn’t pulling any punches. Not only had he managed to throw Tony for a loop with that little gem of knowledge but he had also asked a follow up question that somehow managed to raise the stakes. Tony thought about picking up another slice of pizza, but his hand was frozen over the box as his eyes widened at Bruce. He had a thousand more questions himself, but he had made a bargain here.
Tony sat back in his chair.
“His bestie strangled my mom to death. We saw the video. I wanted to kill him, even if he was brainwashed to do it. Wanted... ha. I tried to kill him, to fend off Rogers, maybe to kill him too since he picked some—“. He wasn’t going to admit that. “Barnes is dangerous. Not his fault but he should have been bright in. Cap disagreed. It’s not really any more complicated than that...”. He was almost embarrassed to admit that, too.
